As part of our Martech Insider Newsletter, we interview marketing technologies each month that deserve to be highlighted.
For September 2020, we have chosen to focus on Brandeploy, a new platform that allows marketers to create localized content in just a few clicks, without any special editing skills.
Jean Naveau, CEO, agreed to answer our questions.
Hello Jean, can you describe your positioning?
Brandeploy is a custom SaaS platform designed to help marketers deploy their content locally and create videos and posts in just a few clicks without needing an execution agency.
What are the benefits?
The platform allows for more content to be deployed more quickly (time savings). Managing content independently leads to cost savings and better brand consistency.
What problems do you solve?
With the growth of e-commerce, social media, and digital channels, the need for content, particularly videos, has exploded. For large groups, deploying communications internationally while localizing languages, products, formats, and sequences is a real challenge. This involves producing and adapting hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of content, which requires a significant budget both centrally and locally.
What are the main features?
What makes us unique is our ability to manage videos, posts, banners, and flyers adapted for platforms like Amazon, Instagram, and retail stores, all in compliance with brand guidelines. Local deployment is integrated into the organizations, workflows, and information systems of large groups, such as DAM or social media tools.
What is your "killer feature"?
I prefer to talk about use cases.
- In e-commerce, we enable the adaptation of enriched product content (image & video) with text across 10 products and 10 languages in just a few days.
- In digital media campaigns, we allow the adaptation of banner, video, and post campaigns into story formats, square formats, and 16/9 formats without needing to brief an execution agency.
- For community management, we enable community managers to populate their newsfeeds with brand-compliant posts in just a few clicks.
Are there any interconnections between Brandeploy and other tools?
Our solution integrates into the ecosystem of solutions used by our clients. It is already interconnected with the DAM Bynder and can be connected with other PIM, DAM, or social media tools.
Tell us about your client onboarding process.
The success of our solution depends on user adoption, both globally and locally. To ensure this, we support our clients through change management within their organization with scoping, training, and project monitoring until the set objectives are achieved.
Our clients appreciate our ability to understand their challenges and our responsiveness in customizing our solution to meet their needs.
How do you see the evolution of your market?
The DAM market and easy-to-use editing solutions will continue to converge. Some DAM providers have already started down this path.
About Brandeploy:
As a Marketing Director in international groups like Newell Brands, I faced the challenge of producing and deploying all content adapted to different touchpoints, countries, and platforms, resulting in an estimated 50% waste! This was the initial idea behind creating Brandeploy.
Today, we are three partners with complementary profiles (marketer, multi-entrepreneur, and developer), each with over 20 years of experience, to develop and meet client needs.
- Number of Offices (and locations): We are based in France in Paris, Besançon, and Annecy.
- Type of clients (Key Accounts, SMEs, Agencies): We target international groups that produce a lot of content and need to adapt it locally, particularly in consumer goods, professional products, food, or FMCG sectors.
- Main French clients: 750g, the franchise chain "Au bureau," and we will announce new ones soon.
- Funding round: We plan to raise funds in the first half of 2021, once our use cases are validated with our initial clients.
- Main competitors: Brandeploy sits at the crossroads of the growing DAM market and easy-to-use video or image editing solutions like Adobe Spark or Canva.
Thank you, Jean, for your time and the detailed answers.
